Dr. Rebecca Tipton
Dr Rebecca Tipton is a Lecturer in Interpreting and Translation Studies at the University of Manchester where she is also Programme Director for the MA Translation and Interpreting Studies. She teaches modules on conference, public service interpreting and translation and her current research interests are intercultural relations in the interpreter-mediated workplace and the problems faced by third sector organisations in language service provision. Her recent doctoral research in public service interpreting explored interpreter mediation in social service contexts.
